Life Map

Jul 13, 2022

Have you ever wished you had a personal life map that you could unfold to show you exactly where God wanted you to go and what He wanted you to do? X marks the spot. . . you are here! Knowing we are on the right path and that Holy Spirit is with us is so important over the course of our life journey that God DID give us a personal life map with His Word. We just need to dig into it, really into it, and see what He says.

He even goes before us and prepares the path before we ever get there:

• See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared. - Exodus 23:20 (NIV)

• For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. - Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

That means we can also follow securely in His footsteps so we know we are on the right path!

• But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard. - Isaiah 52:12 (NIV)

• I will study your teachings and follow your footsteps. - Psalm 119:15 (NIV)

• Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me. - Psalm 119:133 (NIV)

• He brought me up out of a horrible pit [of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a rock, steadying my footsteps and establishing my path. - Psalm 40:2 (AMP)

• For [as a believer] you have been called for this purpose, since Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you may follow in His footsteps. - 1 Peter 2:21 (AMP)

• Righteousness will go before him and make his footsteps a way. - Psalm 85:13 (NIV)

• I have followed his footsteps closely. I have stayed on his path and did not turn from it. I have not left his commands behind. I have treasured his words in my heart. - Job 23:11-12 (GW)

• This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it and you will find rest for your souls.” - Jeremiah 6:16 (NIV)

• I am the holy Lord God, the One who rescues you. For your own good, I teach you, and I lead you along the right path. - Isaiah 48:17 (CEV)

• You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand. - Psalm 16:11 (NIV)

• You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am. -
Psalms 139:3 (TLB)

• Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. - Proverbs 3:5 – 6 (NIV)

• Whether I turn to the right or to the left, my ears hear a voice behind me, saying, “This is the way, walk in it.” - Isaiah 30:21

• The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul. He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me. Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me. Thou annointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. -
Psalms 23 (KJV)

• Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in His ways. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your sons will be like olive shoots around your table. Thus is the man blessed who fears the Lord. - Psalms 128:1-4 (NIV)

• Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. - Psalms 37:5 – 6 (NIV)

And we can be comforted because He is ALWAYS with us and we never have to make our way alone.

• I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken for He is right beside me. - Psalms 16:8 (LB)

• And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. - Matthew 28:20b (NIV)

• We who dwell in the shelter of the Most High rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely He saves us from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He covers us with His feathers, and under His wings we find refuge; His faithfulness is our shield and rampart. We do not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at our side, ten thousand at our right hand, but it will not come near us. We make the Most High our dwelling – even the Lord, who is our refuge – so no harm befalls us, no disaster comes near our home. For He commands his angels concerning us to guard us in all our ways; they lift us up in their hands, so that we do not strike our foot against a stone. We tread upon the lion and the cobra; we trample the great lion and the serpent. The Lord says He rescues us and protects us for we acknowledge His name. We call on Him and He answers; He is with us in trouble and delivers us and honors us. With long life He satisfies us and He shows us His salvation because we love Him. - Psalms 91

• The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. - Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)

• Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for God has said: "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." - Hebrews 13:5

• Look, I am with you, and I will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you." - Genesis 28:15

• And the LORD went before them in a pillar of cloud to guide their way by day, and in a pillar of fire to give them light by night, so that they could travel by day or night. - Exodus 13:21

• And the LORD answered, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." - Exodus 33:14
