Stressed / Overwhelmed
Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and He will establish your plans. - Proverbs 16: 3 NIV
He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. - Psalm 23:3-4 NASB
Our God says, “Calm down, and learn that I am God! All nations on earth will honor Me.” - Psalm 46:10 CEV
As Jesus and His disciples were on their way, He came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to Him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what He said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to Him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” - Luke 10:38-42 NIV
Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always]. -
Colossians 3:15 AMP
For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, - Romans 8:6 NASB
Father, thank You that no matter what stresses in life come up, You are still Jehovah Shalom [the Lord our Peace] and You are always with us. Thank You, that we can sit at Your feet and rest in the peace You give us and that peace is perfect for every life situation. When life gets busy, Holy Spirit, help us to keep our thoughts fixed on You, so that we can handle the busyness of life without getting overwhelmed or distracted. Help us to balance our time and to manage it wisely, so that we can find rest and still get everything done that needs done. Give us wisdom and discernment so that we can walk in Your peace and choose the better things as Mary did. We choose to calm down and keep our minds on Holy Spirit. In Jesus's Name, Amen!
