Tempted

Can he walk on hot coals and not blister his feet? - Proverbs 6:28 NLT

The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure. - 1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him. - James 1:12 ESV

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all the strategies of the devil. - Ephesians 6:10-11 NLT

Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor so that you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. - Ephesians 6:13 NLT

Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. - Romans 13:14 NRSV

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. - Romans 13:14 NKJV

Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak! - Matthew 26:41 NLT

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet He did not sin. - Hebrews 4:15 NIV

Father, the spirit indeed is willing to come against the desires of the flesh. In order for us to be victorious over our flesh, You have given us Your Word to renew our minds [Romans 12:2]. Thank You, that You sent Your Son in order to free us from sin and condemnation. Thank You, that because we have chosen for You to be our Lord and Savior that we no longer have to give in to temptation, but can stand and fight [Ephesians 6:10-18, 2 Corinthians 10:5]. We come against the enemy in the name of Jesus Christ and refuse to gratify our flesh. We do what James 4:7 says, "So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Thank You Jesus, that You are my Strength. Praise You, Jesus! I declare by faith that I am more than an overcomer [Romans 8:37]. Thank You, Jesus, that YOU have already given me the victory - which includes the victory to overcome any temptation [1 Corinthians 15:57]! Thank You for who You are and all that You do. In Jesus's Name, Amen!
