Angry

Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: you must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. – James 1:19 NLT

Be angry [at sin—at immorality, at injustice, at ungodly behavior], yet do not sin; do not let your anger [cause you shame, nor allow it to] last until the sun goes down. And do not give the devil an opportunity [to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness]. – Ephesians 4:26-27 AMP

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. – Ephesians 4:31-32 NLT

A person without self-control is like a house with its doors and windows knocked out. – Proverbs 5:28 MSG

Sensible people control their temper; they earn respect by overlooking wrongs. – Proverbs 19:11 NLT

Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper – it only leads to harm. – Psalm 37:8 NLT

Control your anger, for anger labels you a fool. – Ecclesiastes 7:9 NLT

Say this prayer aloud –
Father, I cast down that spirit of fear that is causing me to be angry over circumstances, situations, and people. I draw near to You, so You will draw near to me, just as You promise in Your Word (James 4:8). I ask for Your help. I speak PEACE, PEACE, PEACE now in the name of Jesus! On purpose, I choose to walk in the fruit of the spirit of self-control. I release all anger and negative emotions. I relinquish my state of mind and life over to You, NOW, In Jesus’s name!!
