Death

We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. – 2 Corinthians 5:8 NKJV

For me to live is Christ [His life in me], and to die is gain [the gain of the glory of eternity]. – Philippians 1:21 AMPC

Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. - John 5:25 NIV

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” -John 11:25-26 NIV

And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with Him the believers who have died. We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet Him ahead of those who have died. For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. – 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 NLT

Say this prayer aloud –
Jesus, You are my GOD and the lifter of my head. I come into Your presence, depending on you my Comforter, my Helper, my Strengthener, my Leaning Post in this time of sorrow. I trust what You say in 1 Thessalonians, that I will see my loved one(s) again one day. I rejoice in that truth. In Hebrews 12:1-2, You told us to persevere in this race that was set before us with JOY! So, I decide to rejoice in You, my Savior and my LORD, because to be absent from the body is to be present in the LORD. I will look to you, Lord, the Author and the Finisher of my faith. In Jesus’s name, Amen!
