Knowing God Deeper Through His Names - Ft. Wayne Service

Nov 23, 2025    Corban Ochsner

Join us as we dive a little deeper into eleven of the names of God. Let's dig deeper into understanding God's character through some of His many names. Each reveals a distinct facet of His nature and His relationship with us. Drawing from Psalm 9:10, we're reminded that those who know God's name trust in Him—because knowing His names means knowing His heart. Walk with us through eleven sacred names of God, from Elohim (the mighty Creator who brings order from chaos) to Abba (our intimate, loving Father). Discover Jehovah Jireh, who provides before we even ask; Jehovah Rapha, who heals us; and Emmanuel, God with us in every fire and valley. Each name isn't just a theological concept—it's an invitation to experience God personally in our daily struggles and victories. When we know God's names, we gain not only knowledge but also trust, worship, strength, and ultimately, thankfulness. This Thanksgiving season, we're challenged to reflect not just on what God has done, but on who He is—unchanging, faithful, present, and deeply personal. The sermon reminds us that everything good comes from Him, and there is nothing as good as Him. When we understand His character through His names, our faith deepens, our worship intensifies, and our lives transform.
