Hidden Treasure

You may feel today like you have nothing to give. . . that you are not as special or as gifted as someone else. . . or that you have no great destiny or a way to leave anything significant as a legacy. BUT God says He has put HIS glory, the knowledge of HIM as a light shining in our hearts as a great treasure. The God of the universe considers YOU and me as fit vessels, though fragile and imperfect on our own, to carry His own Spirit, a GREAT treasure, inside of us!!

2 Corinthians 4:6-7 New Living Translation
6 For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.

And not only that, but in Christ we have all the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Colossians 2:2-3 New Living Translation
2 I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. 3 In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Colossians 2:2-3 NIV
My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

He has released those hidden treasures to us, we just have to search them out in His Word.

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

Proverbs 25:2 New Living Translation
It is God’s privilege to conceal things and the king’s privilege to discover them.

Want to know about more hidden treasure in you?? Well, God has given each of us “the measure” of faith. More than enough – because it only takes a mustard-seed size for ANYthing we need! And He have us the ability to speak and create things with our words, just like Him!

Romans 12:3 King James Version
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Matthew 17:20
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

He told us to imitate Him like dearly loved children.

Ephesians 5:1
Therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father];

With Jesus as our example and the Word to guide us, we can imitate those who through faith and patience inherited what was promised (Hebrews 6:12, Hebrews 13:7, 1 Corinthians 4:16, 1 Corinthians 11:1, 3 John 1:11).

There is so much MORE in you than you could ever dream or imagine (Ephesians 3:20), and God is waiting expectantly for us to search it out. . . to get in His Word and discover our hidden treasures and then walk them out with our faith and run our race in such a way as to win the prize. And our greatest legacy will be the souls we have helped to find this same joy of Jesus along the way 😊
